- a stomach ulcer
- retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited condition of the eye)
- a physical deformity of the penis (such as Peyronie's disease)
- if you have been told not to have sex for health reasons
Brand Viagra may interact with other medicines. Tell your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:
- nitrates (medicines used in chest pain/angina)
- alpha-blockers (such as doxazosin, tamsulosin) or other medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction
- azole antifungals (such as itraconazole, ketoconazole), HIV protease inhibitors (such as ritonavir), macrolide antibiotics (such as erythromycin), or mibefradil
- other medicines or treatments for erectile dysfunction

Brand Viagra may cause a sudden decrease in vision in one or both eyes. This may be a sign of a serious eye problem.
